Peter is the principal of Kenmore Lawyers. Peter’s vast number of years in practice dates back to 1973 when he was first admitted as a lawyer in Queensland. Peter has over 40 years of experience and as a long-standing practitioner he has had the opportunity that only a selected number of practitioners will have the chance to experience.
Peter has appeared in a number of high profile cases in variety of courts, ranging from the Magistrates Court to the High Court of Australia. As one of the longest running practitioners Peter has appeared on behalf of clients fighting for their rights and ensuring the clients’ wishes are expressed.
Peter has experience in various fields of law, including: litigation, both civil and commercial, business law, property law, estate law, professional indemnity, and town planning and environment.
Peter has been involved in some major litigation matters which include:
- Conducting major litigation cases in the High Court of Australia including a successful outcome in the leading trade practice case of Queensland Wire Industries Pty Ltd v BHP (abuse of monopoly powers).
- Obtaining USD $18mil for all Australian and New Zealand Vietnam Veterans involved with Agent Orange chemical exposure in Vietnam in a class action in the USA (the first time non-US citizens were allowed to join a class action in the USA).
- Acting in the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland for in Ice Skating Australia Inc v International Skating Union, a major test case in international sports law.
